Jaguar XE Battery Location
You luck ran out and you find yourself with a dead battery? Or, perhaps, you're helping a friend in need. No worries, you have 2 options:
  1. Use the charging points under the hood
  2. Direct access to the battery, from within the boot
First thing first, you need to open the car. See here what to do if the Jaguar XE Key Fob Not Working (with video).
1. Use the charging points under the hood
• After you have unlocked the car, open the driver's door. Under the steering wheel, next to the pedals and left footrest, pull the lever until you hear the hood pop.
• To open the hood of the car, place you index and/or middle finger in the space between the hood and front grill, right in the middle, and search for the second lever, which you will push to the left. Now you can completely raise the hood up.
• Under the hood, on the left side of the engine you will see the positive charging point, covered with a red cap, which you will have to pop open.
• Use the bare metal in the engine bay as the negative charging point

2. Direct access to the battery, from within the boot
• After you have unlocked the car, open the driver's door. Under the steering wheel, on the left, press the boot lid button, the one next to the lane assist button.
• If this doesn't work, go to the back of the car and press the boot release button, situated under the Jaguar logo and right above the number plate (next to the backup camera).
• Raise the boot floor cover and you will find the battery
Warning!!!
• Don't connect the negative cable directly to the battery, always use a chassis ground point
